Lancaster County Agricultural Society, Inc.

The Lancaster County Ag Society (LCAS) conducts monthly public meetings.

• DATE/TIME: Usually held on the 3rd Thursday of each month
  • 7:30 pm April – October
  • 7 pm November – March
• LOCATION: Normally held in the Lancaster Room unless otherwise noted
  • Park in front and enter through Meeting Center Lobby on north side of Currency Pavilion (formerly Pavilion 1)  on north side of the fairgrounds at 4100 N 84th Street in Lincoln, NE
• INFO: Regularly-planned Public Meeting Agendas are posted online at SandhillsGlobalEventCenter.org (click on Public Notices at bottom of each web page) when finalized no later than 24 hours in advance
  • Upcoming agendas may also be viewed on the Sandhills Global Event Center fairgrounds office window the week of the public meeting
  • Draft minutes are published online after each meeting to be approved at the next meeting
  • There are a couple years of past agendas and minutes maintained on the website for public’s reference
• NOTICE: LCAS Board public meeting notices are printed in Lincoln Journal Star before each meeting and confirmed to be have been published before each public meeting is held.
  • All dates/times of regular public meetings published below are tentative and will be finalized and publicized accordingly within week before each public meeting.

Lancaster County Fairgrounds Joint Public Agency (JPA)

• Separate board with duties overseeing additions and improvements funded by property tax bonds to Lancaster County’s fairgrounds which operates under the name of Sandhills Global Event Center
• Five member board with designated by their respective boards for one-year terms that start in January of each year
  • three members from the Lancaster County Ag Society
  • two members from the Lancaster County Board
• Public meetings held two times a year at this time:
  • January for annual officer elections
  • September for approval of budget due to the State of Nebraska
• Similar practices are followed in terms of public meeting notices and publishing of agendas & minutes as for Lancaster County Ag Society described above
